Tamsin Dearnley’s “Walking a Poodle in Yoyogi Park” is an original work for two lever or pedal harps. Says the arranger, “Written as an homage to the wonderful 5/4 swing feel of the jazz standard ‘Take 5,’ the music has a very carefree, playful feel to it, which reminded me of hanging out in Yoyogi park in Tokyo on Sunday afternoons, where all the elegant women would walk their toy dogs, including a lot of poodles!” Scroll down for additional notes from the composer.
