Notes from the arranger
This delightful carol is less well known than it should be—it’s such a great tune, and so full of Christmas cheer! Also known as “All Hail to the Days” and “In Praise of Christmas,” the first record of this tune is in 1625, although its origins are otherwise unclear.
Fingering has been suggested for the first part of this piece, with a slightly longer “clean” version as well for those who prefer a less cluttered score.
