Tamsin Dearnley’s arrangement of the traditional Welsh tune “Suo Gân” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This beautiful melody was first recorded in 1800 and the lyrics were transcribed by the Welsh folklorist Robert Bryan (1858–1920). “The song’s title simply means ‘lullaby’ (suo = lull; cân = song), and its gorgeously soothing, lilting notes fit perfectly on the harp,” says Dearnley. This piece is also available in Dearnley’s collection Easy Lullabies from Around the World.
