Skye Air

Stephanie Claussen’s arrangement of the traditional Scottish song “Skye Air” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This slow and spacious air from the Patrick McDonald Collection features a sparse left-hand accompaniment with many ornaments in the right hand. The openness of the melody transports the listener to a high coastline, overlooking sea, rocks and moor. This piece can also be purchased as part of Claussen’s collection The Road Home from Skye.
