Les vagues de l’âme

Stephanie Bernard’s original composition Les vagues de l’âme (the waves of soul) is for two lever or pedal harps. The piece “speaks of the rise of the depths of our unconscious which sometimes escapes our control,” says Bernard. On the picture, Bernard says, “The waves represent our subconscious and the harp represents the soul. At first, the music is soft and calm; then it speeds up to be in motion like waves, and the notes slow down to end with a return of the introductory melody.”
