Stephanie Bennett’s Kathleen’s Jig is for solo lever or pedal harp. This cheerful jig is dedicated to Bennett’s late friend Kathleen Clark. Bennett says Kathleen “radiated joy and gratitude wherever she went and whatever challenges she faced. Kathleen loved playing the harp, sending handmade greeting cards to her friends, tending her spectacular flower garden, her devoted husband, and her pet bunnies!”

Note from the composer

While conceived as a harp solo, you could have a violin, recorder, or flute double the right hand part, or replace it (while you play only the left-hand part on the harp). Flute would probably play it an octave higher, for a brighter sound. You can also turn this piece into a harp duet by having one person play the right-hand part, and the other person play the left-hand part!
