Intermezzo Sinfonico

Silke Aichhorn has arranged the “Intermezzo Sinfonico” from Mascagni's opera Cavalleria rusticana (Sicilian Farming) for solo pedal harp. Taking place in a Sicilian village on Easter morning, the intermezzo symbolizes the peace of the pious churchgoers. Aichhorn's interpretation uses musical elements by Felice Lebano and Charles Oberthür.
