Note from the arranger
“Brochan Lom” is a Scottish song from the mouth music tradition (Puirt a beul). It’s a strathspey and the instrumental version is often called “The Orange and Blue” or “Kitty Jones.” Two versions are included: one is an early-intermediate version which includes the words and fingering/ brackets. The left hand is either single notes, octaves or 1-5-8 chords. The second version has a more advanced left hand accompaniment with octaves, 1-5-8 chords, and 10th intervals.
