Serena O’Meara has arranged William Bradbury’s classic hymn “Sweet Hour of Prayer” as a trio for lever or pedal harp, piano (or organ), and any of the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet in B-flat, alto saxophone, violin, viola, or cello. “The three verses in this arrangement tone paint the words of the poem,” says O’Meara. “The music moves from quiet private prayer in which you hear your heart beat to the happiness that comes from trusting in God’s grace.”
