Serena O’Meara’s arrangement of the traditional Scottish “Lewis Bridal Song / Mairi’s Wedding” is for lever or pedal harp and any of the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, trumpet in B-flat, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, violin, viola, cello, or contrabass. This delightful wedding recessional is from the Isle of Lewis, one of the Hebrides Islands off the northwest coast of Scotland. The tune has numerous names and interpretations. This arrangement pairs well with “Joyful Jigs.”
