Serena O’Meara has arranged “Aura Lea” by George Poulton for mixed harp ensemble. Harp 1 is playable on lever or pedal harp and Harp 2 is playable on pedal harp. Published in Cincinnati before the Civil War began in 1861, this tune became a favorite of both sides of the conflict to sing around campfires. “It was performed by minstrel groups, glee clubs, barbershop quartets and radio stations,” says O’Meara.
