Serena O’Meara’s arrangement of the traditional Danish carol “A Child Is Born in Bethlehem” is for lever or pedal harp and any of the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet in B-flat, trombone, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, violin, viola, cello, or contrabass. The beautiful lyrics of the Medieval Latin hymn “Puer Natus in Bethlehem” has been set to various melodies over the centuries. In this arrangement, the traditional Danish melody is presented in three octaves as a gentle, rocking lullaby.
