Sara Simari has edited Ferdinando Bonamici’s Romanza dall’Otello variata per Arpa for solo pedal harp. Published in 1853, the work reflects the 19th-century popularity of program music and operatic paraphrases, drawing on well-known melodies from both song and opera. Bonamici develops the famous “Willow Song” from Gioachino Rossini’s opera Othello, and this edition also includes an original cadenza by Sara Simari.
