“Dandini Dandini Dastana” is a traditional Turkish lullaby. This catchy tune has been passed down through generations and is now one of the most beloved nursery rhymes in Turkey. In its imagery, the child and caregiver imagine a magical garden where cows roam freely, creating a gentle and dreamlike world. The lyrics were added as an interpretive suggestion to give a sense of the song. You may sing them at any point if you wish, but the piece also works beautifully without. For an authentic performance, please refer to recordings by native speakers. Variations may exist across different regions. There is also an optional solo in the middle, with notes indicating that you may hum or sing using any vocal line that suits you.
