Fantasia for Harp Quartet

Oscar Rodríguez Do Campo and Mara Diniello’s Fantasia for Harp Quartet, based on Henry Purcell’s Three Parts Upon a Ground Z.731, is for four pedal harps. “The original score of Three Parts upon a Ground by Henry Purcell was an important and fashionable work, very much in vogue in the 17th century repertoire for consort (three solo instruments and continuo),” says harpist Sioned Williams. “Thanks to this transcription, harpists can enjoy performing excellent baroque music without taking away any of the essential style and spirit of the original. A worthy addition to the repertoire for harp ensemble.”
