À la manière de Borodine

Oliver Wass’s transcription of Ravel’s “À la Manière . . . de Alexander Borodine” is for solo pedal harp. This pastiche in the style of Borodin is a wistful waltz, which provides a very useful exercise in pedal control during chromatic lines. This piece is a good stepping stone to the pedal control needed to play Ravel’s Jeux d’eau.
