Eight Minuets

“Eight Minuets” includes eight minuet and trios by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart transcribed by Megan Reeve for solo pedal harp. Ever one for a social occasion, Mozart composed a number of pieces for balls and dances. These eight minuets with accompanying trios from K.315 began as orchestral works before Mozart himself transcribed them for keyboard. They are essentially party pieces to be danced to, but as with all of Mozart’s works, each minuet and trio displays striking musical skill. With minimal pedal changes, these little dances are perfect for students, weddings, and background music.
