About the composer

Jay Lamb was 10 years old when this piece was published in 2026, and he has been playing music since he was 2 years old. He plays both harp and piano, and enjoys composing pieces for both instruments.

Note from the composer

The Lost was formed from an unfinished piano composition that I decided would work better on harp. The wandering melody is heard first in the right hand, then the left, and finally shared between the two. I had encountered a molto ritardando for the first time in a piano piece I had recently learned, and I was inspired to use it for my ending section.
