Description

Note from the arranger

This beautiful folk song was “discovered” by Ralph Vaughan Williams when he was traveling through Essex, England. He published an arrangement for men’s chorus in 1908 and subsequently published it for different voicings. Vaughan Williams recalled that when he first heard the tune, he felt as though it was something he had known all his life. This arrangement is in the key of A minor and has no lever or pedal changes.
