Note from the arranger
Chopin’s Waltz in A minor for solo piano is among his best-known waltzes, as it is also manageable for beginners. This arrangement for three harps can be played by a teacher or by an advanced student with two beginner students. The melody is notated in two versions: the standard part is a simplified version of the piano melody, while the ossia part is the original piano part, which is somewhat more difficult. For Harp 1, at least a single-action pedal harp is required. Harps 2 and 3 can be played on lever harps or (single-action) pedal harps. If lever harps are used, only the levers marked at the beginning need to be adjusted. No lever adjustments are necessary during the piece.
