Introduction et Allegro (accompaniment)

$15.00

Harp duo Laura Oetzel and Daniel Mattelé have arranged the accompaniment to Ravel’s Introduction et Allegro for solo pedal harp (so that it may be played with the original solo part in a two-harp performance). “In 1905, Ravel wrote Introduction et Allegro for harp, flute, clarinet and strings as a show piece to demonstrate the advantages of the double-action pedal harp over the chromatic harp,” explain the arrangers. “While composing the piece, Ravel – who was an outstanding pianist himself – always had the piano reduction in mind. One could even say that the version for harp and piano is a piece in its own right (the poor répétiteurs will surely agree)! In this arrangement, a second harp takes over the piano accompaniment.”

This piece is available as a PDF download for $15.00.
(Includes accompaniment only. Does not include original solo part.)
