Impromptu op. 12 No. 2

$7.00$20.00

Harp duo Laura Oetzel and Daniel Mattelé have arranged Alexander Scriabin’s Impromptu op. 12 No. 2 for two pedal harps. While Scriabin composed smaller piano pieces in the style of Frédéric Chopin at the beginning of his career, he and his music changed radically over the course of his life. This piece was composed in 1895 during Scriabin’s Romantic phase. In this arrangement, some passages have been altered to improve the playability on two harps. For example, fast chord repetitions have been replaced by arpeggios.
