The Blackest Crow

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of the traditional song “The Blackest Crow” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This poignant song of parting, popular in both Celtic and American circles, features modal harmony that switches back and forth from major to minor, with the final cadence on a minor chord. The arrangement has two verses with waltz-style chords and some parallel harmonies in the left hand.
