Johnny Faa

$4.99

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of traditional air “Johnny Faa” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This popular tune has been known by many names such as “The Gypsy Laddie” or “The Raggle Taggle Gypsy,” and was also a Gypsy outlaw song in 17th century Scotland. This arrangement has a courtly feel with descending harmony lines and countermelodies in the left hand. It also includes a few ornaments in the right hand. The second verse moves up to the higher register for the first part with octave chords in both hands. This piece can also be purchased as part of Robertson’s collection Scottish Ballads and Aires.
