I’m a’doun for lack o’Johnnie

$4.99

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of traditional Scottish tune “I’m a’doun for lack o’Johnnie” is for solo lever or pedal harp. An old ballad from northern Scotland, the gorgeous melody was featured in Max Bruch’s 1880 “Scottish Fantasia” violin concerto. This slow and expressive arrangement includes a few Scottish snaps and builds to a climax in the second verse with octaves in the melody. The left hand plays stately chords and arpeggios that reach up to a 10th. This piece can also be purchased as part of Robertson’s collection Scottish Ballads and Aires.
