Flow Gently, Sweet Afton

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of Robert Burns’ “Flow Gently, Sweet Afton” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This beautiful song by Scottish poet Robert Tannahill has become popular with contemporary Scottish musicians. The lyrics describe a courtship visit on a stormy night. The arrangement has three verses, with varying left-hand chord patterns on each verse. This arrangement can also be purchased as part of Robertson’s collection Scottish Ballads and Aires.
