Dink’s Song

$3.99

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of the traditional song “Dink’s Song” is for solo lever or pedal harp. Also known under the title “Fare Thee Well,” this soulful folk song has been performed by many prominent folk musicians. It was first recorded by an African American woman named Dink who sang it in 1909 for song-collector John Lomax. The arrangement features a recurring interlude between the verses, along with some variations in the left hand and changing octaves in the melody. This piece can also be purchased as part of Robertson’s collection Favorite Harp Tunes – Beautiful American Airs and Ballads.
