Cowboy’s Lament

$3.99

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of the traditional song “Cowboy’s Lament” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This popular cowboy ballad is also widely known as the “Streets of Laredo.” The melody originated in the British Isles with dozens of versions, including the Bard of Armagh, with lyrics that reference an Irish harper. The arrangement features an intro and interlude, guitar-style chords and variations on each of the four verses. It’s a lament and not meant to be played too quickly. This piece can also be purchased as part of Robertson’s collection Favorite Harp Tunes – Beautiful American Airs and Ballads.
