Baloo Baleerie

Kim Robertson’s arrangement of traditional Gaelic song “Baloo Baleerie” is for solo lever or pedal harp. This old lullaby is arranged with two verses that feature a repeating drone pattern in the left hand. The second verse moves up with octaves in the melody and wider intervals in the left hand. It sounds best when played slowly and softly to evoke the soothing sound of a music box. This piece can also be purchased as part of Robertson’s collection Scottish Ballads and Aires.
