Note from the composer

The mood of this music for flute and harp creates an atmosphere of mystery and wandering. The performers both play from the score. The flute’s music is lyrical, but restless, and the harp’s interactions include brief flourishes and unsettled harmonies. Are these ghosts’ memories reflections of past thoughts now long forgotten? Or does the music contemplate the ephemeral nature of spirits drifting?
