Note from the arranger

Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, op. 9 is the composer’s best-known work. It is based on Gregorian plainchant and also influenced by the harmonies and textures of French impressionism. Duruflé created three versions of the Requiem, all for chorus and different instrumentations. Harp is found in two of these versions: the full rrchestra version and the reduced orchestra version.
