Fantasia on Greensleeves

Eira Lynn Jones and David Sumbler’s arrangement of Fantasia on Greensleeves by Ralph Vaughan Williams is for pedal harp and flute. The beginning and ending sections of this arrangement consist of the traditional English folk tune “Greensleeves” while the the middle section consists of the English folk tune “Lovely Joan.” This piece first appeared in Vaughan Williams’ 1928 opera Sir John in Love and has been popular ever since!
