The Irish Harp


The Irish Harp is a collection of 24 airs, laments, slow marches, and tunes from Ireland, arranged for solo lever or pedal harp by Deborah Dahl Shanks. Among them are popular folk melodies such as Danny Boy, The Star of County Down, Ireland Forever and Down by the Sally Gardens. Some of the pieces are by great masters of Irish music from the 17th and 18th centuries including by Brian Boru, Ruairi Dall O’Cathain, and the Irish harp master Turlough O’Carolan among others.
