Note from the composer

I’m a classically trained composer who used to moonlight as a keyboard player in progressive rock, jazz and blues bands. I purchased a new synth in 2003, and recorded a number of new compositions as I explored all of the new sounds at my fingertips. “Harp Improvisation #1” was truly improvised using the black keys, resulting in a Bb minor-ish mode. The recording made it onto my 2005 limited-release album, “On Being Human”. Eventually, I decided to write the music down so other musicians could play it. I was created in a thoughtful, introspective mood.
