In the Bleak Midwinter

Corkey Christman’s arrangement of Gustav Holst’s “In the Bleak Midwinter” is for solo pedal harp. This three-verse arrangement begins with a verse with large open harmonies, follows with a verse with the melody singing through moving figures, and ends with the melody ornamented with arpeggiated fifths and sixths across the range of the harp.
