O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

Claire Swanson’s arrangement of the traditional French carol “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” is for solo lever or pedal harp. Swanson says, “The arrangement begins wistfully, builds to a climax of expectant joy, and ends with the same longing feeling that it began with, painting a picture of Israel’s faith and hope that the Son of God would one day come to ‘ransom captive Israel.'”
