Christa Grix has arranged Mykola Lysenko’s What A Moonlight Night for solo lever or pedal harp. This lovely Ukrainian folk tune can be used for any number of occasions, from weddings and background dinner music, or as an encore at a solo recital. Although written for pedal harp, it is easily adaptable for lever harp. As of July, 2022, $200, representing 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this product, has been donated to Ukrainian humanitarian relief through UNICEF USA, and future sales will continue to benefit this cause.

What a Moonlight Night (also known as A Moonlight Night and The Night is So Moonlit) was written by the Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko (1842-1912) to the lyrics of a poem by Mykhailo Starytsky, (1839-1904) a contemporary of Lysenko’s, about a man persuading his love to join him at the grove on a moonlit, starry night.
