Chloe Bofinger’s original composition Icicles is for solo pedal harp. Inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns’s Fantaisie for Solo Harp, this piece explores the harp’s unique voice and is written in a fantasia style. The title comes from the opening ostinato figure. Each time it “falls,” it repressents the drip of melting water from a dangling icicle.
