About the arranger
Carol Wood, a professor of English literature, has a Ph.D. in Medieval Literature and has taught courses in Chaucer and in Celtic and Germanic literature for many years. This is a wonderful collection of pieces! Some are playable by advanced beginner harpists, and some require more intermediate to advanced skills. Most of the pieces are in the key of C, so no levers are required. A few of the pieces are in G Major, so a lever harp would be good, but you could also just tune the F strings to sharp. In most of the songs, it looks like you would need at least a 26 string harp or more, but you could also substitute strings an octave higher or lower to compensate. If you need to perform at a Wiccan ritual or ceremony, these pieces cover every celebration of the year!
