Barbara Chapman and Debra Cross have arranged Michael Praetorius’s popular Christian hymn “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming” for both flute and pedal harp duet and pedal harp solo. The 15th century German tune and text “speaks of the rose springing from the root of Jesse, which symbolizes Mary, mother of Jesus,” says Chapman.
