This charming original work by Alyssa Reit for pedal harp, flute, and storyteller portrays the Hans Christian Anderson story The Nightingale. The harpist can perform the storyteller narration, or another player can be used. Both the harpist and flutist are required to play percussion instruments including frog guiro, woodblock, sandblocks, small suspended cymbal, small drum, and low pitched drum; the flutist is also required to play piccolo.
