The harpist can perform the storyteller narration, or the narration may be performed by another person. Both the harpist and flutist are required to play percussion instruments including frog guiro, woodblock, sandblocks, small suspended cymbal, small drum, and low pitched drum; the flutist is also required to play piccolo.
