Ailie Robertson’s original composition Imbolc is for two lever or pedal harps. The Harp 1 part can also be played as a solo. “Imbolc is a Gaelic traditional festival that marks the beginning of Spring, and for Christians, it is the feast day of Saint Brigid, Ireland’s patroness saint,” says Robertson. “It is held on February 1st which is about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Imbolc is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals, along with Bealtaine, Lughnasadh and Samhain.”
