Description

Note from the arranger

This popular melody started out as a Polish folk song. In the 1940s, it morphed its way into both Country and Bluegrass standards, especially as a fiddle tune. When it was recorded by Hank Thompson in 1962, “Westphalia Waltz” was a slow, romantic waltz. Since then, it has become a faster Texas waltz. Frankie Yankovic recorded it as “You Are My One True Love” in 1968.
