This is a song for Yom Hashoah (Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day), which is marked on the 27th day in the month of Nisan—a week after the seventh day of Passover. It is a day for The Reading of Names of Holocaust Victims, Heroes and Survivors. The text is by William Drumright. The word “chai” means “life.”
