Listen
Performed by the children’s choir of the Institut Fénelon in Grasse, France, directed by Damien Pichol, with Megan Metheney, harp, Armelle Agati, flute, and William Imbert, cello.
Notes from the composer:
Psalm 23, The Song of the Shepherd was written for children’s choir, cello, flute, and pedal harp. In collaboration with Megan’s three young daughters, a passage from The Jesus Storybook Bible underwent a magical transformation, metamorphosing into a delightful melody, harmonized with instruments, infused with a rhythmic beat that invites listeners to snap along.
