Lauren Scott’s “Sea of Stars” is for mixed lever and pedal harp quartet. Inspired by bio-luminescent plankton that glow in the dark, this piece uses flashy arpeggio figures, the hum of rapid harmonics, and a variety of extended techniques to “evoke this most magical of phenomena to scintillating effect,” says Scott. Harp 1 and 2 are for pedal harp while Harp 3 and 4 can be played on lever harp. This piece is also available for lever and pedal harp duet.
