Stephanie Claussen has arranged the traditional Northumbrian tune “The Willow Tree” for solo lever or pedal harp. Also known as “Rue and Thyme,” “Spring of Thyme,” or “Let No Man Steal Your Thyme,” this plaintive, flowing melody sits well on the harp. Included in this short, three-verse arrangement are a brief arpeggio introduction, rolled chords and some simple left-hand variations.
