As classical interpretations of folks songs were popular in the 19th century, this unique arrangement is a classical interpretation of the traditional Scottish folk song. Thiele says “it is perfect salon music suitable for almost any occasion.”

What a beautiful arrangement of this classic! It gets progressively difficult so a person could learn their way into it, playing just the first bit to start then progressing as ability allows. It’s really lovely.
