Thank you very much!! I ordered the Handel concerto right away, and now I’m just holding my breath hoping it will get here on time — and hoping that by some chance I’ll get in. It’s really not very likely that I will, though, considering I’d be using a small pedal harp, and that I hardly have any time to learn an absolutely new piece, and that all these other harpists probably have a lot more experience than I do. *sigh* Oh well. Try, try again…except I only have one more year after this to try for the youth orchestra. After that, it’s college.

I differ (quite obviously), but not WILDLY; there’s absolutely no reason to get THAT adamant about something so insignificant, as I’m sure you realize.
I don’t think Mideast harps are the best thing that ever happened in the harp world, but they’re not trash for lowly beginners like myself, and they’re definitely not something worth hating so passionately. (Sorry if that’s a bit overstated…)

Although I do agree with the adults on one point: people our age DO tend to be too sloppy no matter what they’re writing/typing, so much so that it’s sometimes unintelligible.
In case you didn’t know, Plato was a student of Socrates.
I agree that new things don’t have to always be embraced, such as rap.
