I didn’t order my part from Glissando, it was from Lyon&Healy. But they only had one version so I will probably order the 2 versions that Fran mentioned from Glissando. I will let you know what they are like!

I ordered the concerto last week (the origional one by Rodrigo) and it just arrived today. I should have checked back on the forum before I bought it, so that I could have bought both of the versions, but I will buy the other versions as well, and maybe change it a bit myself!
I would love to know what you have done for fingering, cutting out notes, and where you pasted the different versions on the part.
I’m aiming to do it over 2 years (I’m working on gr.10 rep now), but first I have to learn the Handel Bb concerto! Busy year for me again!Thanks so much again!

Yes you can actually. I had to borrow my teacher’s Style 23 Lyon&Healy harp for a concert, and we did fit it in by putting all the back seats down, and then taking 1 of the middle seats down. And even then there was still a lot of room.
I shall have to look all of those up! I actually hadn’t realized that he did write for harp. I think he had a daughter who played harp….I’ll have to double check, though.
When I get it, and start learning it (which will probably be in a loooooonnnngg time, but I hope not too long) I would love to see what all of you who have played it, have done to make it simpler to play, but I might just try and get all the notes in if I make it a 2 or 3 year project….we’ll have to see!! All the best to all you wonderful harpist out there!I have a Honda Oddessy (rather my parents do) and it is absolutely terriffic! The back seats fold down into the trunk. Our music group manages to fit my 2 harps (a style 85P and a 4 octave celtic harp), a guitar, a french horn, a violin, a flute and oboe, and then all of our music and music stands and all 6 of us in the car! It’s actually not that crowded when all of us are in there. It’s a fantastic car and the gas consumption is amazing!

Have you played this concerto then? How long did it take you to learn? I know that every concerto is different and every person is different as well with how long it takes them to learn a piece. Thanks so much for the info, though!I don’t have the music in front of me, but I do have that same edition. If the eight note rests look like backwards eight note rests, then yes, they are quarter note rests. I think that is the European way of writing them or was the way of writing them. It’s a little confusing sometimes!
I’ve been playing piano for about 9 years, and it hasn’t affected my harp playing at all. It’s funny though, when I play the last chord of a piece on the piano my hands tend to go sideways as if I’ve just plucked the strings, instead of up! I tend to be a little to relaxed as well when I play piano, but that fine with me because harp is my first instrument!
